Arlington bank robbery suspect strikes twice in Fort Worth, police say

The same woman is believed to be responsible for three separate bank robberies in Arlington and Fort Worth in the past week.

A woman believed to have robbed an Arlington bank last week hit two Fort Worth banks in just over an hour Monday morning, police say.

Fort Worth police incident reports say a woman robbed a Chase Bank on Ramey Avenue in far east Fort Worth just after 11 a.m. A little more than an hour later, a second report states a woman with the same suspect description attempted to rob a BBVA Compass on South Hulen Street 11 miles away.

Arlington police had posted a tweet Monday morning asking for help identifying the suspect in a bank robbery last week. In an update posted about five hours later, APD said that suspect was the one responsible for the two robberies Monday morning.

"They did use the same threatening type of note," police spokesman Steven Bartolotta said of the other cases. "And for us, when you look at this, this is three banks in five days. It's pretty aggressive. It's pretty brazen."

Anyone with information about the suspected serial bank robber is asked to call Arlington police Det. Williams at 817-459-5312, or Fort Worth police at 817-392-4200.
