NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — A domestic incident led to an hours-long standoff between SWAT team members and a suspect who was eventually taken into custody in North Richland Hills on Wednesday.

Police received the call at about 11:30 a.m. regarding the domestic issue, with officer beginning work to try and get the suspect out of the home, police say.

Two adult victims were able to get out of the home, with one of them -- and adult man -- receiving non-life-threatening injuries and being treated in a hospital, police say.

SWAT was called to the scene just after 1 p.m., when negotiations began with the suspect.

After hours of attempted negotiation, police used gas to get him to leave the home, and he was taken into custody at 4:15 p.m., police say.

Police say his name and mugshot are not yet available as he has yet to see a judge.
