CLEBURNE, Texas — A Cleburne doctor has been arrested on charges of sexual assault, including sexual assault of a child, and indecency with a child-sexual contact, according to jail records.

Dr. John Dang was booked into the Johnson County Jail on Thursday. It was unclear if his bond had been set.

Dang was arrested on one charge of sexual assault, two charges of sexual assault of a child, two charges of indecency with a child-sexual contact and insurance fraud of $30,000-$150,000.

Last year, Dang's M.D. license was suspended and his clinic closed after allegations arose, accusing him of prescribing dangerous drugs to patients, borrowing money from patients, using care credit under patients' names without their knowledge and inappropriate touching of patients.

Dang was listed as a family practice physician.
