LOG CABIN, Texas — Search crews have found a woman dead inside of a vehicle near the last believed known location of a missing Irving woman in Henderson County, officials said.

Sheriff Botie Hillhouse said crews were searching near a boat ramp in Log Cabin, a small town on Cedar Creek Lake, when sonar images showed the vehicle they were looking for in the case of missing woman Brenda Lizbeth Montanez.

The crews pulled the vehicle from the lake, and a woman's body was found inside. The body hasn't yet been identified. She was sent to a medical examiner for an autopsy.

Montanez, 25, disappeared Jan. 27 after going to a party in Addison, her family told WFAA.

The family said Montanez left the party around midnight and drove to Log Cabin, where her boyfriend has a lake house. The family hired a private investigator and learned that her cellphone was last pinged in the area near the lake.
