FORT WORTH, Texas — American Airlines has extended cancellations of flights dependent on 737 MAX aircraft through August 19, 2019. That means 115 flights will be cancelled daily through that time-period. The cancellations amount to about 1.5 percent of American’s summer schedule.
Last week Southwest Airlines announced cancellation of 737 Max flights through August 5, 2019.
The FAA ordered the grounding of 737 Max flights on March 13, 2019 following two crashes overseas.
