Take a helicopter to Wrestlemania in Arlington

Epic Helicopters is partnering with Uber to offer the helicopter service this weekend.

DALLAS – The UberChopper helicopter service returns to North Texas on Sunday for Wrestlemania fans who want to avoid freeway traffic and pricey parking lots around AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Epic Helicopters is partnering with Uber to offer the helicopter service this weekend.

"Well it's going to be about $400 a seat. We're going to run as many helicopters as we can in the time frame we can do it," said Brian Murnahan, spokesman for Epic Helicopters.

The booking begins Friday at 11 a.m. using the Uber app.

Murnahan suggests those interested should reserve seats quickly because the booking is only open for three hours on Friday and will end at 2 p.m.

"Wrestlemania is an event like no other to begin with, so when you're already going out and doing something like this, being able to go out and add that one extra thing to really truly make it a once-in-a-lifetime experience, it's worth it to people," added Murnahan.

Customers with helicopter reservations will first get an Uber ride to Dallas Love Field to climb aboard.

The helicopter will fly passengers from there to the stadium.

"You'll leave from Love Field, you'll fly down to Arlington, you'll get to see the Ballpark at Arlington, you'll get to see AT&T Stadium, you'll get to see Six Flags you'll land very close to the stadium," Murnahan continued.

On Sunday afternoon, Epic’s helicopters will land at a church on Randol Mill Rd. and drop off passengers a couple blocks from the stadium.

After the event, Uber will drive those helicopter passengers back to their destination. The helicopter ride is one-way.

Epic has partnered with Uber several times over the last couple years including flying fans to the college football championship and music awards at AT&T Stadium.
