Thank you! A record-breaking year for North Texas Giving Day!

North Texans is coming together Thursday in a big way to support nonprofit organizations all across the region in what has become the nation’s largest day of giving.

North Texas Giving Day 2017 broke a new record in total dollars raised for area nonprofit organizations. At around 11:15 p.m, the previous year's total of $37 million was reached and by the end of the night, the total amount raised came in at just over $39 million.

Beginning at 6 a.m. and running through midnight, North Texans opened their hearts to support thousands of local community organizations. This single day event raised funds for 2,723 nonprofits.

This year, $370,000 was raised to help with hurricane relief efforts.

“Today’s amazing outpouring of generosity underscores how much North Texans care about each other and the nonprofits that keep our region strong. Even as our community rallies with the nation to support those affected by recent hurricanes, donations came from all 50 states and 36 countries totaling $39 million for North Texas nonprofits on North Texas Giving Day,” says Dave Scullin, CEO of Communities Foundation Texas, presenter of North Texas Giving Day.

“We are beyond blown away that so many people came together to set another national giving record. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.”
