I scream, you scream, we all scream for...nope not ice cream. Cookie dough.
North Texas has their very own cookie dough shop.
There was concern over the safety of eating cookie dough a few years ago due to the risk of contracting a type of bacteria that's harmful to your body. But it has since been determined that it truly depends on the ingredients used to make the cookie dough.
Owner, Gina Ginsburg's says her recipe uses pasteurized eggs and heat-treated flour. It'll keep for a few weeks in the refrigerator and another few if you freeze it.
Ginsburg says it is her family tradition that prompted her to want to open a cookie dough parlor.
The Dough Dough offers a wide variety of flavors and toppings, they even have gluten-free and vegan options for those who would like them.
Flavors range from The Unicorn, a rainbow sugar cookie base with sprinkles, semi-sweet Ghirardelli chocolate chips and white chocolate chips; Nutella Wipe Out with sugar cookie dough and Nutella swirl; and Peanut Buddy, peanut butter dough mixed with dark chocolate chips, Reeses Peanut Butter cups and chopped up Nutty Buddy pieces.
You can even get pup-friendly treats for your four-legged friend.
The official opening takes place Friday, March 9 at 5915 Forest Lane.
