DALLAS – Dirk Nowitzki has taken some pretty incredible shots at the American Airlines Center.

He’s scored more than 14,000 points there – including his 30,000th career point. He dominated the home court en route to the 2011 championship.

But Sunday night at the AAC, he added epic shots of a different kind to his resume.

The future Hall of Famer delivered a round of shots to Justin Timberlake and his backup performers on stage during their Dallas show, and was met with thunderous applause.

Timberlake called Dirk a “good friend” and recalled meeting him after his first show in Dallas.

“He asked, ‘Why you did not close with Rock Your Body,’” Timberlake said in a shoddy German accent. "Well that's good advice, Dirk."

“I said, ‘Why don’t you have a ring yet,’” Timberlake said. “But the rest is history.”

The pop star did a toast to Dirk and two Dallas-area performers on stage with him.
