Jiselle Rodriguez is a multi-skilled journalist at WFAA in Dallas, TX specializing in digital content creation.
1) Who are you? I've lived in the Midwest for most of my life, but I've moved more times than I can count on my finger. I attended a high school in the DFW area and studied journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia. I went on to work at newsrooms in Cleveland and Toledo, Ohio, before joining WFAA. I'm a firm believer of life coming full circle, so I'm very happy to be back in Texas!
2) What are your interests? To be a good journalist, I have always been told to be a great listener. It's a common thread in any great story.
When I'm not working, my husband and I are usually on food adventures, checking out new restaurants— although I am always a happy camper when date night involves a giant cheese board and a glass of red wine at home.
3) What do you like about working at WFAA? The newsroom has so much diversity. We have different backgrounds and work experiences, which I think freshens our approach to story-telling.
4) What's one thing people would be surprised to learn about you? I love Fantasy Football. Every year, I get excited when it comes time to draft. Don't underestimate this rookie. I always do my research!
