My neighbor and long time friend, Alice Griffin, asked me to go with her and four nephews, to places in West Texas....like Guadeloupe National Park, Big Bend National, Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, an ambitious agenda. Heading toward rain and all we ended up in motels 2 nights, slept in the truck 1 night, and managed to actually tent camp 2 nights!!! Kids had fun, we had fun. Even threw in a star party at wonderful McDonalds Observatory. Last night in Monahans, at the Sandhills State Park...
