Laura Douglas, at the Denton Library asked me to do a Texas International Pop Festival display at the Emily Fowler Central Library at 502 Oakand St., in Denton, for the month of March. I've displayed all three posters, a pair of tickets, bumper stickers, programs, a newspaper ad, a hand fan, buttons (badges) and lots of photos in their big display case. The library's number is 940-349-8774. I run the website, www.texaspopfestival.com, and am writing a book on the festival that was held in Lewisville, on Labor Day weekend, 1969, just two weeks after Woodstock. I recently applied for and was granted a state historical marker for the event. DCTA has granted permission to place the marker at Hebron Station, being built for the A-Train.
