Sunday, Valentine’s Day (2/14/10), we were still telling family and friends about our experience viewing the robins on the West side of Fort Worth twice in one week.
I was feeding the cats around sun set and looked out back and noticed hundreds of birds flying over the house – this time going from South to North. I wondered if it was the robins again, so I grabbed my cameras and ran outside. Sure enough it was. This time they weren’t feeding, but were apparently trying to find accommodations for the night. They were in our neighbor’s trees and in the yards. It was dusk so not many came out good. None of the hundreds of pictures I took this week do them justice, but they are good reminders of what we saw. Here are a few from that 3rd sighting. Since they are predicting the possibility of more snow next week - I am wondering if they will come back through going South again then.
