Daniel Fisher and the Festive Snowman in Sachse

Daniel & the festive snowman

We woke this morning not expecting to see snow until noon. All our ski clothes hadn't been packed away yet from our CO trip in Jan. It seemed perfect timIng to make a snowman. I grew up in Houston & had never really made a snowman except for back in 1972. My husband grew up in Alaska & showed me how to roll the balls. I thought they only did that on tv. Our balls were pretty grassy so we packed clean snow over it. My 4 year old was thrilled helping us. The snow was too dry when we were in Durango. I thought about dressing him in the traditional scarf but then saw the mardi gras decorations from my mom's house. She passed away in Dec. just before X-mas. I think she would LOVE seeing her boa & beads on our snowman. My daughter was a little concerned about her Mad Hatter's hat getting damp. I may replace it with a gangster fedora later. It may become a changing theme & I go through all my decorations & costumes. Hope everyone enjoys the day!! Linda
