My husband and I woke up to rain in our bedroom on Christmas morning, we called the landlord and recieved an answering machine. Today December 26th we received a call from the management company around 9 am saying they would call the roofing company, but weren't sure if they would be able to get hold of them. This afternoon around 4 pm the ceiling in our bedroom collapsed. My husband left two messages. I got a phone call at 5:30 telling me the roofing company is unavailable, I asked the landlord's daughter in law, who called me to say the roofing company was unavailable, what I shoud do. She told me I should protect myself and clean up the mess. I asked her if the mangement company could move us to another apartment or put us up in a hotel and she said she was unauthorized to do that and the boss is out of town. Basically, we are sleeping on an air mattress in the living room and the management company is doing nothing to help us. They haven't even come over to assess the damage to their own building.
