Residents of Edgemere, an upscale Preston Hollow retirement center sponsored by SQLC, recently celebrated the holiday season with a black-tie optional candlelight celebration, a holiday tradition at Edgemere. The evening started with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the library followed by a delectable candlelight dinner in Medici Restaurant which included baked Alaska for dessert. Guests then enjoyed dancing to the music of The Texas Gypsies, who performed hits from their latest album, Every Kind of Christmas, a trip through many styles and expressions of the holiday with classics and original songs.
“The staff truly outdid themselves with this year’s candlelight celebration,” said Lorraine Kendrick, lifestyles director at Edgemere. “The residents were dressed to the nines and the event was a joyful evening of great food and a celebration of life, friendships and awesome entertainment. The event is a wonderful tradition that just keeps getting better every year.”
