The Plaza at The Stayton at Museum Way, Fort Worth’s first and only true life care senior living community, recently treated residents and guests to an old fashioned sock hop. Staff assisted residents in making their outfits, which consisted of poodle skirts and letterman sweaters. More than 60 people attended, and all were treated to a hamburger and hotdog meal with all of the fixings, topped off with a root beer float.
“The sock hop was a big success,” said Amy Pearce, lifestyles director at The Stayton. “The residents and their family members all had a great time, and the food was delicious! The DJ played perfect straight from the 50’s and the residents were taken back in time. Everyone had a blast!”
