Lightning struck a house tonight in Heartland, TX, a small community just south of Forney. I was watching TV on the couch when a huge thunder crash scared me to death. The power went out for just a minute. Only a few minutes later I saw police lights out on the street. I walked out my front door and saw flames engulfing our neighbors house three doors down. Only minutes later the Forney and Crandall fire department showed up and began putting out the fire. Everyone got out of the house, so that's great news!
