Mercy Athena Thompson is an energetic and happy pitbull terrier from Pleasant Grove who owns Jamie & Franqee Higgins. One sunny spring day on a walk around the community she stumbled upon a wildflower patch out of all places on the corner of Masters and Oak Gate Ln. She dove right in to smell the bluebonnets, intrigued by the aromas and the buzzing of bees she dropped and gave the world the happiest most loving smile from the most intimidating and misunderstood breed. At her side Marquis, a little boy neighbor who is unseen in the photo, is more than willing to assists in the impromptu photo shoot. The community has embraced Mercy the pitbull, all the neighborhood kids, parents, and furry friends give her way to much attention. Just look at that smile Lord have Mercy on us all…
