This picture was taken May 24, 2011. 60 students from GCISD accompanied WWII veterans for a day trip to Washington DC to see the WWII war memorial. My daughter, Virginia Kobel, was paired up with USMC Don Graves. He fought at Iwo Jima and will tell you all the details you want to know. His bravery and sacrifice is why we have the freedom we have today. We feel very blessed to have had the chance to get to know Mr. Graves and his wonderful family. Thank you Mr. Graves.
