Every year millions of animals are abused, neglected and euthanized throughout our country. Every year it seems to repeat itself without any change. As a member of the community, I feel it is important to get the word out and take action in supporting our local animal shelters and the work they do to save the lives of animals. It is the people that put these animal’s lives at risk and it’s the people who can make a change. We need to show our support through educating our children and community on the importance of neutering and adopting from a shelter rather then purchasing a pet elsewhere. We must do our part to protect and provide a safe environment for those who have been tossed away. It is hard to put into words the grief of knowing the astronomical number of animals that are abused and left behind everyday. We can make a difference by showing our support. The children of Primrose School of Chase Oaks are urging the community to participate in their “Caring and Giving” project by donating, food, pet supplies or monies for their local animal shelter. They will end their crusade with a fall kid’s carnival on Saturday, November 12th at 6525 Chase Oaks Blvd. Plano, TX 75023. Let’s continue to educate our children the importance of giving back to those whose voices can’t be heard by supporting their event. You may mail or drop off a donation at the above address.
