Edgemere Receives Highest Honor at Event

For the fifth year in a row, Edgemere senior living community was awarded the Greystone Diamond Award at the 2011 Greystone Event held in Las Colinas. The Greystone Diamond Award is the senior living development company’s highest honor awarded for distinctive service in a senior living community. Edgemere was one of two communities to receive the award this year, out of more than 20 Greystone communities nationwide. In attendance were representatives from Edgemere, Senior Quality Lifestyles Corporation (SQLC), owners of Edgemere, Greystone Communities, Inc., strategic partners and various senior living communities across the country.

To qualify for the Diamond Award, a community must meet stringent criteria on nine operational benchmarks which include a resident expectation survey, employee expectation survey, first impression visits, financial ratios, hospitality culture implementation, task force participation, professional employee growth, successful licensure, and community accomplishments.

With 304 independent living apartment homes, 60 assisted living suites, 31 memory care private apartments, and 72 private rooms for dignified skilled nursing, Edgemere is the largest and most comprehensive life care retirement community in Dallas.
