Around 7pm on the 24th of May a funnel and main circulation passed over the 8500 Harwood Apartments in North Richland Hills which was part of a storm system that spawned 535 reports of severe weather. Resident Zebulon Doyle hunkered down beneath a staircase while the rotating winds hit his apartments, then as he stood in the courtyard, a funnel developed right over the Northeast campus of Tarrant County College.
