Vibrant masks, colorful beads, and lots of glittering purple, green and gold were seen as residents of Edgemere senior living community came together to enjoy classic New Orleans food, refreshments and entertainment. The “Big Easy” evening began in the Medici Dining Room at Edgemere where residents enjoyed traditional Cajun cuisine, topped off with king cake and punch. The festivities concluded with a rhythmic performance by Dixie Land Jazz Band, “Three Quarters Past” presented by Dave Washburn.
“It was great to see all of the residents and staff smiling and having a wonderful time,” said Lorraine Kendrick, director of lifestyles at Edgemere. “Mardi Gras is a time to celebrate, and that’s exactly what we did!”
