There are 3 domesticated geese that have lived at least 10 years in our cove on Lewisville Lake. There used to be 5. They have never had offspring of their own, but every year they look out and protect the local Mallards ducklings from would-be predators. They are quite tame, but will come at you honking away as if to attack when all they really want is some white bread or potato chips.
