Get ready for the 'cold' temps

Wednesday, October 19, 2016

North Texas, are you ready for a taste of Fall? I mean...it is October right?!?

So far, it's been a warm Fall for us. DFW has seen seven 90° days in October. We normally see about two days in that temperature range.

However, relief is on the way as a cold front sweeps through overnight.

It will not only bring cooler temperatures, but it will also bring rain to North Texas!  Expect most of the rain to fall after sunset tonight through the beginning of the morning rush hour Thursday. Though most of it will fall while the majority of us are sleeping, don't be surprised if you wake up to thunder.

Severe weather is not expected, but we could certainly have some thunderstorm activity overnight. The rain should end by late morning with more sunshine returning for the afternoon!

After enduring 90° heat since the weekend, we'll have almost a 20° drop in temperatures.

Expect the lower 70s for Thursday and Friday! The State Fair will enjoy a nice last weekend.  Temperatures will stay around 80° Saturday and Sunday with abundant sunshine.
