Severe threat is highest just to the east and southeast of DFW (south of I-20 and east of I-35) with all types of severe weather possible. Those isolated storms mentioned above will be the ones to watch closely for significant severe weather in the form of very large hail, damaging winds, and a tornado threat.  The line of storms will be capable of severe storms as well but mainly in the form of damaging winds and large hail.

DFW looks to be just north of the highest severe potential but some severe storms are certainly possible in and around DFW. Main threat with any severe storms in and around DFW will be damaging winds and large hail. Timing will be mid to late morning ending by early to mid-afternoon. Northwestern areas of North Texas will likely see storms, but the severe weather threat is much lower.  Simply, even though widespread storms are likely, not everyone will see severe storms. However, staying weather aware no matter where you live is a great idea.

Widespread storms will move east during the afternoon with most areas clear of storms by 3 p.m. Later this evening and into tonight a round of spotty storms is possible across North Texas. This round will carry a low but not zero severe risk. Large hail will be possible with strongest storms. This round does not look to be widespread, but storms are possible.

Any rain or storms clears out of North Texas by Monday morning with clearing skies and pleasant weather for Monday afternoon and Rangers Opening Evening.
