Any rain is done falling from the sky this morning. However, slick spots remain in places from DFW to the north and west. Be careful on your morning commute!
Temps will warm above freezing area-wide by mid-morning, but a chilly afternoon is still in store. Even with clouds clearing from north to south today, highs will only be in the 40s. Most of North Texas sees plenty of sunshine this afternoon, but those temps stay chilly.
Skies stay clear overnight and winds will calm, which will allow temps to drop below freezing for everyone. Western and northern parts of North Texas have a good chance of seeing temps well down into the 20s by Thursday morning.
A warming trend and dry weather will be around for the rest of the week with afternoon highs in the 60s by Friday.
However, don't get used to the warmer temps as another strong cold front arrives on Saturday. That front will bring some isolated to scattered showers during the day on Saturday. By Sunday morning temps will be below freezing, and afternoon highs on Sunday will only be in the 40s. The way it looks now, any precip comes to a close before freezing temps arrive, so wintry weather is not a big concern. We'll keep watching this system, and let you know of any changes!
