WEATHERFORD — An 18-wheeler caught fire on Interstate 20 in Parker County Wednesday afternoon, snarling traffic for motorists in both directions.
The incident, in front of the Jerry's Chevrolet dealership at Lakeshore Drive, happened around 4 o'clock, just in time for the evening rush hour.
Some of the cargo was still burning nearly an hour later. The contents of the trailer were not immediately known.
The cab of the truck was burned, but the driver escaped without injury, according to initial reports.
