DALLAS — Firefighters battled a three-alarm blaze at the Nob Oaks condominiums in Northeast Dallas Wednesday night.
The fire, in the 9700 block of Forest Lane, was reported around 9 p.m. after residents smelled smoke, went outside and saw flames leaping through the roof.
The first help to arrive quickly requested additional assistance.
Firefighters were able to limit the damage to one building in the complex — but that building had eight units and seven families living there.
The Salvation Army was at the scene to help displaced tenants find a place to sleep and a way to start over.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
