Dallas Stars’ Center Richard Peverley is still in the hospital, after collapsing on the bench during Monday night’s game.
When Peverley went down during the first period, it stunned his teammates and the crowd. The 31-year-old was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat in training camp. He had played 60 straight games before sitting out last week due to his condition. Paramedics were able revive Peverly, after shocking him with a defibrillator. He was taken to U.T. Southwestern Saint Paul where doctors are running more tests.
Will Peverly be able to return to the ice? Cardiologist Dr. Shyla High joined Teresa Woodard on News 8 at 4pm to talk about his likely treatment.
