As the battle for two open gates at Dallas’ Love Field nears an end, the public relations war is heating up.

Wednesday, Virgin America released a “love letter” video, complete with its own hashtag.

Southwest Airlines is making a more formal appeal by sending customers to a “facts” website about its plan for the gates.

Public relations expert Crissy Lintner  discusses the two strategies.
