Report recommends less-frequent breast exams

Until Tuesday, fighting breast cancer was a uniform push.

Women were told to get mammograms when they turn 40 and also to learn how to do self examinations.

But, a government-backed study released just 24 hours ago says mammograms don't need to start until you turn 50 and doctors shouldn't waste their time teaching self examinations, all because of over treatment.

But that has some questioning if that means it is the end of preventative care.
