McKINNEY — An amazing display of Christmas lights in McKinney is attracting a lot of attention — and a coveted neighborhood award.
Kenny Ahnemann’s "McKinney Christmas" extravaganza was just named the best in the Craig Ranch development.
The display contains 60,000 lights and uses a computer and special light controllers, which allow an amazing spectacle of color and flash — all synchronized to holiday music.
Ahnemann also has a low-power FM radio transmitter, so folks can listen to the music right from their cars.
As for the electric bill, the Ahnemanns say it only runs them an extra $40 a month.
You can see it for yourself in the 7800 block of White Stallion Trail in McKinney.
