WFAA's John McCaa hosted the annual International House of Blues Foundation's celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s legacy, which took place on the civil leader's holiday in Dallas.
Children's artwork inspired by King was displayed while musical and dancing performances took place for a crowd of about 700.
Kofi Wadie Forson, a fifth-grader at William L. Cabell Elementary, also performed a speech for the audience. The young boy was the winner of the 2012 Gardere MLK Jr. Oratory Competition.
