The numbers are staggering. A whopping 13,000 domestic violence incidents occur in Dallas every year.
Now, a large group of very influential men, including Mayor Mike Rawlings, are trying to put an end to those growing numbers.
Rawlings will travel to New York to stand in front of the United Nations as a keynote speaker for the global launch of "Ring the Bell: One Million Men. One Million Promises," a campaign to end violence against women.
Rawlings joined News 8 Daybreak to talk with Cynthia Izaguirre about what he hopes to accomplish over the weekend.
