A new documentary in theaters Friday exposes what it really takes to become a male stripper --  going behind the scenes of the Dallas institution, La Bare.

La Bare was one of the first clubs in the world to offer male entertainment when it opened in 1978 -- and continues to draw the crowds.

A lot of that success has to do with Randy "Master Blaster" Ricks, who started working there a few months after it opened - and is still going strong.

He and his mother, Mary Lou, visited News 8 Midday.

Find out more about the documentary here.
