North Texans looking to take a step back in time and see a biblical story come to life will have their last chance this weekend.

Organizers in Parker County have put together a 1st Century Village to resemble that of the time of Christ called “The Star of Bethlehem Experience.”

Everything from the tools the actors use to the buildings themselves are replicas of a time 2,000 years ago. The village was originally designed for shooting religious films, but evolved into a tour families could enjoy year after year. Organizers say visitors who take the tour will be reminded of the real reason for the season.

"It's an experience, and when you experience something, you really remember it," said Tammy Lane, with “The Star of Bethlehem Experience." “It sticks with you and you think about that. We hope the people will think about it every Christmas and remember the night Jesus was born."

“The Star of Bethlehem Experience” runs Friday through Sunday. The village is located just north of Peaster in Parker County.
