MESQUITE - Get ready for hundreds of high-powered motorcycles and adrenaline-charged riders.
The Bad Boys of Arenacross have arrived in North Texas. Crews have transformed Mesquite Arena into an indoor race track full of bumps, jumps and even a mud pit.
The motorcycle riders will be in action Friday and Saturday, but as News 8 learned Friday morning, that's not the only thing that will get your heart pumping. In addition, organizers will roll out the fan favorite trucks in the “Mud Bog” races.
"No matter who you are, what age, where you grew up, all of us had a mini bike, all of us had a bicycle, we all found a board and a tire to jump a curb,” Big Don, the announcer for the Bad Boys of ArenaCross explained to News 8 while discussing the widespread appeal of motorcycle racing. “We all got those skinned elbows, these guys have just took it to a new level."
By the way, those riders fly 70 feet in the air on some jumps. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday in Mesquite Arena (formerly known as Resistol Arena).
