With no deal yet to avoid the "fiscal cliff," what happens to Texas taxpayers and the state economy if there's no agreement and tax hikes and spending cuts kick in? We'll ask our guest, Richard Fisher of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

The growing debate over gun control in the wake of the recent massacre at a Connecticut elementary school is the focus of two segments this week.

In her My Voice, My Opinion commentary, Dallas Morning News columnist Mercedes Olivera is critical of Gov. Rick Perry's endorsement of school districts that want to arm teachers and administrators.

In the Flashpoint debate, author and producer Katie Sherrod on the left and talk show host Mark Davis on the right debate the proposal to let educators have guns on campus.

And on Roundtable, the coming debate in the Texas Legislature over a school choice vouchers bill.

Gromer Jeffers, political writer for The Dallas Morning News, and his colleague, Austin bureau chief Christy Hoppe, join host and WFAA political reporter Brad Watson for the discussion.
