I keep getting e-mails saying the Cowboys and the NFL should have a zero-tolerance policy... Josh Brent should never be allowed to play football again... And I don't know why.
Young people -- especially young people with too much money -- do some incredibly stupid things. Maybe in a perfect world they wouldn't... But I live in this world.
And in this world, everybody gets another chance... and usually more than one... I have a friend of mine who did exactly what Josh Brent did. And as horrible as his accident was, I don't turn my back on him... And I don't really like much any person who would.
I remember reading somewhere about casting the first stone... Maybe I read it wrong.
