You want to  get the most for your money.

With all the information out there, it can be tough to sort through what works and what doesn't. So we're going to help you out, thanks to former financial planner Gary Foreman.

Foreman says wait to buy your candy. Most stores will mark it down on Halloween day. So waiting may just get you a deal.

And while we may want to buy chocolate, you will come out with more coin if you skip chocolate and go with hard candy like lollipops.

Here’s an idea for your leftover candy: Put them in bags that say spinach or green beans and put them in the freezer. Kids will avoid anything that says “spinach,”  and you can distribute as you wish.

You can find more tips at Gary's website, Stretcher.com.
