Renowned storm chaser Tim Samaras, his son, and another researcher were killed while chasing a tornado in El Reno, Okla. Friday.

Samaras had been chasing storms for decades, and was well known in that world.

Friend and fellow storm chaser Martin Lisius joined News 8 at 6 live on Monday to talk about Samaras and the risks he and other storm chasers face when trying to gather information.
