DALLAS - Finally, things are starting to calm down across North Texas following the Mavs big win Sunday night.

Dallas Mayor Dwaine Caraway stopped by the News 8 studios for talk about the parade now that the team has won the championship.

There is still plenty of planning to do as the city looks ahead to the team's arrival back home Monday morning and of course, the big parade.

It is tentatively scheduled for the week of June 20, but the details have not been revealed.

Caraway said the city is in a budget crunch, but a parade is in the plans. Mavericks’ owner Mark Cuban said he is picking up the tab for the parade.
