DALLAS - The Dallas Firefighters Pipes and Drums gave thanks to local retail stores and restaurants by playing music on St. Patrick's Day.
The retailers and restaurants participated in the annual "Buy a Shamrock" fundraiser for Muscular Dystrophy, which wrapped up Thursday.
They're hoping to top last year's more than $800,000 donated by North Texans.
Dallas Fire-Rescue firefighters will hold their own fundraising event for MDA. They will take to the streets around town April 15 through the 17 for their "Fill the Boot" campaign.
