DALLAS -- The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum is closed until further notice, thanks to the government shutdown.
If you bought advanced tickets, the museum will honor them when the federal government is back up and running.
While the library and museum are closed, the grounds, restaurant, and bookstore are still open to the public.
“[I'm] very disappointed, I was looking forward today to the visit,” said Ed Hoerning, a tourist from Charlotte, NC.
Hoerning, a long-time Bush supporter and museum donor found out the tourist attraction was closed after traveling more than 1,000 miles.
“Took a vacation, flew into Dallas yesterday, and the first stop was to come here to the Bush library,” Hoerning said. “We planned this [trip] about nine months ago.”
