Genetic counselor discusses test that caught Jolie's cancer risk

Oscar-winning superstar Angelina Jolie revealed Tuesday that she had a double mastectomy a few weeks ago. Jolie said that after genetic testing she learned she carries the "faulty" BRCA1 gene and had an 87 percent chance of getting the disease herself.

Dr. Carolyn Garby, a genetic counselor at the Baylor Sammons Cancer Center, joined News 8 Midday to talk about the type of test Jolie took, and what other women should consider if they want the test themselves.
