iOS update introduces depth-of-field photos for iPhone 7 Plus

Apple iPhone users that bought the iPhone 7 Plus in hopes of using that flashy new “portrait” mode to make their photos mimic the depth-of-field effect found when using DSLR cameras should definitely check this one out.

The latest update to Apple’s iOS adds this key feature that was missing at launch, known as “bokeh.” Although now included, the feature is still in beta mode and will be tweaked as user feedback comes in.

The update also adds functionality for the transit app, Messages, Apple Watch, and a few other bug fixes and improvements.

To download, just connect your device to iTunes or download directly by opening “Settings” on your phone, tapping “General,” and choosing “Software Update.”
