DFWAIRPORT-- Starting Monday thousands of travelers will be able to ride the rails straight to Dallas-FortWorth International Airport.

On Friday News 8 got a sneak peek aboard the new DART train.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit has been in business for 30 years, and all along the transit company wanted to have the rail run to the airport. DART spent $150 million adding another five miles to the Orange Line to make that happen. There's now a stop at Terminal A.

The line is another transportation option for those flying out of the airport, as well as airport employees heading to work.

But it does raise some security concerns, especially for those wanting to leave their cars long-term at Park and Ride stations. There have been several smash-and-grab burglaries in the past.

DART officials say the opening of this station could boost the North Texas economy by billions. It's expected to attract new customers and new businesses.

A trip to the airport will cost you $2.50 for a two-hour local pass. Go here for more information.
