GRAND PRAIRIE Outrage over new policies at the Dallas Independent School District sparked a new protest on Saturday, but this one was not on school property... and not even in Dallas County.

A small group of protesters took their frustration to the Grand Prairie residence where they say school board president Lew Blackburn lives.

We have had enough of the things going on at the Dallas Independent School District, said protester Joyce Foreman.

The group said they are frustrated about decisions made in the search for a new superintendent and the plans to close several schools.

Elementary school or whether it's a middle school, we do not need anybody that's living out here in Grand Prairie to dictate to us what we need to do with our schools, said Marion Barnett.

The protesters said it's a violation of policy for an elected school board president to live in another county.

It was not clear if Blackburn was at the residence on Saturday.
